Forest Squad Numbers- A follow up

Well, this was meant to be my Premier League predictions post, but given how bad Forest have done with the squad numbers this season, I had to follow up on my opinion from last week. In the end of course, I’ll forgive certain players if they have stellar seasons and see us (finally) back in the Prem. But for now, I’m going to have a good old fashioned whinge. Tbf, two 1-1 draws isn’t a terrible start to the season, and if squad numbers are all I’m complaining about this season, I’ll be happy (well, my sense of happy). (My suggested number in bracket) 1.        Costel Pantillimon (1)- No change 2.        Hillal Soudani (22)- Oh dear Oh dear! (RIP Barry Chuckle), I know you wore #2 at (club tbc), BUT YOU ARE NOT A RIGHT BACK! You better not be as useless as a certain other Algerian striker who recently played for us, and bang in the goals and I might overlook it. 3.        Tobi...

THE SEASON STARTS ON SATURDAY!!!!!! Well, another week for you Premier League fans, but for those of us who are still waiting for a Premier League return (Hopefully not for much longer), the return is imminent. Forest have had a pretty decent pre-season, and it’s been nice to see a use of traditional 1-11 in CORRECT POSITIONS for the friendly matches. Even players who had 1-11 numbers last year have switched; Adlene Guedioura wore 8 (last season 5), and Ben Osborn wore 3 while playing LB (last season 11 since he is normally a midfielder but plays everywhere). Looking at the squad, while we’ve had a good transfer window, the Forest numbering needs a bit of a tidy now. For this, I’ve purposefully left the players (Henderson, Evtimov, Mancienne, Ariyibi, Ward, Clough, and Vellios) who’s profiles have disappeared from the website, out of this as they are clearly not in Aitor Karanka’s plans and have been told they are free to leave (although one or two are likely to only b...
